How Private Golf Scores Work

When you start a new round in golfity, you’ll see a visibility toggle before the first hole. Set it to private, and that round stays hidden from everyone except you.

Private rounds won’t appear in:

• The general activity feed
• Your public profile page
• Course leaderboards and statistics
• Other users’ comparison features

You still get full access to all your data. Strokes gained calculations, accuracy tracking, and round statistics work exactly the same for private rounds. The only difference is visibility to others.

When viewing your own profile, private rounds display with a lock icon so you can quickly identify them.

When to Use Private Rounds

Private rounds serve several practical purposes beyond hiding bad scores.

Testing swing changes: Working with a new grip or stance? Track those experimental rounds privately until the changes stick. You’ll have data on how the adjustment affected your game without broadcasting every shanked shot along the way.
